The debut EP I represented a musical emancipation after the dissolution of the instrumental band Prynum. As such, the focus was on exploring a variety of musical genres, predominantly on a song by song basis.
On II, their second EP, Lakes of Wada have widely expanded and refined their sonic palette. As a result, each song is a multifaceted piece of music that journeys through a whole range of moods and develops a story of its own. While this makes II feel more coherent stylistically, it’s still undeniably Lakes of Wada in its open-minded approach to music.
